Flew in from Austin late Friday evening and, after checking in, had a nice chat with Coach Autry in the lobby of the Westin Buckhead, where the team is staying. Phenomenally nice guy who's a credit to the program and took the time and was genuinely engaged.
Drove downtown and shook hands with Derrick Coleman at the Park Bar, and asked him what the key to the game against Michigan would be tomorrow. His unhesitating answer: "Transition defense." By George, I think he's got it. He also thinks the zone will engulf and destroy young Stauskas. From his lips to God's ears...
Returned to the Westin and drank heavily, catching a glimpse of the lovely Juli and eventually visiting with a certain coach's sister, together with Hicker the Heckler, TGD, and our very own CTO.
This townie boy from Tipperary Hill is feeling pretty good. Major props to Saint Joyce, whose benevolence is legion. Now, on to victory against the Wolverines.
