Mahoney's flip response ('the takeaway is, what a nice venue for a show' or something along those lines) says it all. This is what happens when the local kleptocracy throws up a public buildings with no planning and no process. It'll accommodate the people with common sense (Hi, Rick!) who leave early and plan ahead, but the short-sighted majority are stuck running across expressways or missing part of the show.
And how does it get fixed? People aren't getting to this place from the north, east, or south - because of where this is located, there's forever going to be a chokepoint as everyone looks to enter (and exit) from the same place. Dumb.
But people still criticize the city for not acceding to Cuomo and dashing together the same project in stadium form...
