That 2018 class is so stacked, I really hope we can keep them all together. Could use some of those guys this year or next.

As for 2016 names to watch are Trimboli, Rehfuss, Porter and Strang. I like Fiorini and Wisnauskas but tough to break through all those guys ahead of them as true frosh.

2017 has too many kids from far and wide for my taste (especially midfielders); not enough NY, MD or NE kids.

I know college recruiting is done via the travel lax circuit these days but I still don't like all the NJ, PA, TX kids.

Just my worthless $.02.

3 of the Top 10 ranked recruits in the Class of 2016 and the top rated kid in 2017 come from the Philly area.

It's a strange new world.

It seems to me that goalie is pretty important and I don't see any above?

A shocking lack of Central NY kids - when was the last time Syracuse went 4 years out without at least one West Genny kid?

Probably never. I believe Nick Mellen is from WG so I'm not following your point.

Of those listed for 2016,are there any "supers" among them AKA extreme talented players who can make a big difference for the Orange program? I suggest using asterisks for this on your post and thank you for this if possible.

Trimboli and Wisnauskas are both 2016 Under Armour All-Americans.

Seven high school boys lacrosse players from Section III were chosen by area coaches to receive the All-American designation from US Lacrosse. The players, all seniors, were voted on by area coaches at Thursday's sectional seeding meeting at Fayetteville-Manlius High School.

Those who receive All-American status are:

Cole Willard, midfield, Cazenovia (Penn State)
Grayson Burns, midfield, Jamesville-DeWitt (Bucknell)
Sam Duggan, midfield, Skaneateles (Cornell)
Matt Hutchings, attack, Marcellus
Ryan Zimmerman, attack, Westhill (Providence)
Brian Cunningham, attack, Auburn (Delaware)
TJ Connellan, longstick midfield, Cazenovia (Penn State)

Willard is ranked #35 according to RecruitingRundown. No other Section III recruit made the Top 100.

There’s an 8th grader named Hogan Fox in Glens Falls that might be worth keeping an eye on. He played on varsity all season and is (I think) the first or second leading scorer on the team. Glens Falls is Class C and while not great I’d expect them to play for the Section II title game. He’s 5-9/5-10 and I’d guess around 165.

He’s as good an 8th grade lacrosse player as I’ve ever seen anywhere. I've seen a lot of select club teams and he could play for anybody, and once he gets more exposure he’ll take off.

Thing I see holding him back is boredom, nobody at his level (8th grade) can challenge him defensively, which actually leads to sloppy play as he hotdogs. We just got done with tryouts for the club team he's on and he abuses the 7/8 defensemen.

What club team is he trying out for? From what I have seen, best in that area is Albany Power. Class C is getting a lot better in Section II but along with Class B (unless Niskayuna decides to stay at B - they moved up to A this year) trails in quality compared to other Sections.

He plays for the ADK Black Bears. Besides Power, there’s Rogue with Rhino/Team United/FCA are trying to make a push in the area. Scott Marr is involved with Team United.

Black Bears is pretty weak. The Hogan kid should be playing with a premier club team.

Yeah if he is that good he probably should play for one of the bigger programs but there is time LOL. I would like to see him play - I will have to look out for where those guys are playing. There are some good players in that class in the Capital region but mostly in the Suburban Council A schools (Nisky, Shaker, Shen, etc). Good to see SU starting to recruit in this area. Quinn could be a big help, not the biggest or most athletic kid but his stick skills and hands are off the charts.

I haven't seen GF play this year - they are playing right now in the C - semi's.

Glens Falls beat Schuylerville 14-6. Hogan Fox was 3-2. They'll play Greenwich for the section II class C title.

SECTION II BOYS’ LACROSSE TOURNAMENT

Speaking of this why haven't we gotten any games during the season on tv??? It's only sectionals and onward...?
