Rocco out at St. Thomas Aquinas

Did not realize that Cris Carter was one of his employees. Well, sorta.

TOS GUY on twitter FWIW
Gut feeling is that Rocco ends up in college next season but not at Syracuse.

I don't know why HCSS wouldn't want to bring him in. He gives us a strong Fla recruiter, he has huge local roots and hopefully he can coach special teams/WR or TE.

Uhgggg...you have to be kidding me!!! Why can we as fans see that Rocco is the perfect fit but not HCSS?

If we aren't hiring him for WR, then hire a real OL coach and move the OL to WR since experience doesn't matter.

I totally agree. I would have hoped we would have at least sent out some feelers.

There is a possibility we may completely abandon South Florida, and double down in NJ/Mid-Atl.

wait so Rocco isn't an option here?

See the Tomcat's earlier post about racial balance. There is a generally accepted principle about minority representation in P5 coaching staffs so it does not seem likely that Rocco would be hired, even if he is qualified, unless there is a significant restructuring of the staff.

I have no idea, but there have been 2 separate reports where Rocco said he was never contacted, and if he was he would refer his brother Jamie. Can't remember exactly, but something along those lines.

I like the added emphasis in NJ, but I think abandoning South Florida is a major mistake.

Completely agree.

Acosta can cover Jersey just fine for us, but we need South Florida too. Don't forget, Casullo coached O'Korn in high school. Not a reason to hire him on it's own, but that potential package deal wouldn't be a bad thing
