I agree that it is a government overreach and I never said it wasn't. All I said was, in agreement with AZ Orange, the language that people like Rush use deflect the issue away from what it should be. From the language you yourself have used in this thread, I'm not surprised you disagree with me on this point. And my post about Georgetown was a joke. This is a Syracuse Sports board after all.

Ummmm...I'm foolish for not going to the likes of Sean Penn and George Clooney for the first word on our nation's policies?

So far your "wisdom" boils down to Rush is just an entertainer and everyone who disagrees with him and/or you is a flaming liberal.

I believe women can have whatever options they desire, as long as they pay for it & don't force someone else to do so. s e xual behavior is an OPTIONAL exercise, & therefore should not be a mandated service cost to the Insurance providers, which becomes an additional cost to the other people with insurance.

These liberals want a blank check to spend as crazily as they want, with no accountability. If a woman is concerned about her health, she can get a checkup & let the doctor determine what services are mandatory for her life saving health. Any elective services that do not pertain directly to life saving service should not be mandated as free for anyone.

Stop trying to make this a woman's rights issue, it's abotu ANY gender who wants to bilk our citizens. I do not think Viagra should be a mandated free coverage either.

If you are placing more emphasis on Rush's behavior in this situation, then you are most likely a liberal. Reasonable people understand the real problem here, & Rush is not the problem.

Look if you stand up too quickly on the gondola and decapitate yourself wont your insurance cover the sewing procedure to re-attach you head? I dont want you to engage in such high risk activity!

    This "debate" has gotten absurd.

Of course he is the problem. He took a winning issue for the GOP with the public and turned it into a complete loser of an issue. That is what he did.

so if someone decides to say downhill ski or play contact sports or ride a motorcycle or hang glide or wind surf i shouldn't have to pay for their insurance as these are all optional exercises?
why hang these costs on me? i didn't tell them to mountain bike! and it doesn't procreate the species!
where would you draw the line over what to cover for employees who may or may not share your value system?

AOL bailed on Rush's show. That is a biggie.

Up to 9 sponsors have left his show and a bunch after the apology he put out, thats not good. This is snowballing at a rate the "Imus nappy headed" comment did a few years back. Don't know if Rush gets fired but a lengthy suspension might be coming. This isn't going to be good for him.

These advertisers will be the one's who suffer leaving Rush. Based on the Proflowers facebook page the majority of posts support Rush fully and many of the posters will cease to support Proflowers in the future. New advertisers will see the openings with Rush's show and gladly fill the open slots. Rush isn't going anywhere, his ratings will climb even higher than they currently are. Fluke is an activist fraud tied in with the Pelosi crowd. She will be exposed and Rush will benefit from it.

Doesn't Limbaugh own his own show? I recall hearing 3-4 years ago that when he become the richest host out there, it was about him being the "Oprah of radio"?

But, assuming he could be 'fired', should he? Should someone in the entertainment world be fired for calling someone a slut?

He might own his "show" but he certainly doesnt own Clear Channel...

Can he/should he be fired is a question only the top executives should have a right to make...

I'm sure the Chu's selected their car purely on practicality.
