AOL bailed on Rush's show. That is a biggie. Up to 9 sponsors have left his show and a bunch after the apology he put out, thats not good. This is snowballing at a rate the "Imus nappy headed" comment did a few years back. Don't know if Rush gets fired but a lengthy suspension might be coming. This isn't going to be good for him.
rush will ultimatly survive this . apparently there exists a large bloc of voters who still need to be told what they themselves think.
These advertisers will be the one's who suffer leaving Rush. Based on the Proflowers facebook page the majority of posts support Rush fully and many of the posters will cease to support Proflowers in the future. New advertisers will see the openings with Rush's show and gladly fill the open slots. Rush isn't going anywhere, his ratings will climb even higher than they currently are. Doesn't Limbaugh own his own show? I recall hearing 3-4 years ago that when he become the richest host out there, it was about him being the "Oprah of radio"? But, assuming he could be 'fired', should he? Should someone in the entertainment world be fired for calling someone a slut?
He might own his "show" but he certainly doesnt own Clear Channel... Can he/should he be fired is a question only the top executives should have a right to make...
