I was at the U Washington game in November in Las Vegas. They were good. We struggled to win it. But we are a very different team then we were in November. Totally different.

Some interesting tidbits from the Syracuse women’s basketball win over Washington on Nov. 27 coming in following tweets.

Syracuse was up 21 points with 3 minutes left in the 2nd quarter, but Washington came back to lose by just four points (66-62).

The Huskies were down just one point with 3:47 left in the game. They were within 3 with 2:06 and 1:21 and just 28 seconds left.

Washington started the fourth quarter on a 12-2 run to pull within one and outscored Syracuse 24-14 in the 4th.

Washington’s Kelsey Plum hit a 3-pointer with just one second left in the game to bring the final score a little bit closer.

Part of Washington’s comeback: SU shot 23.5% in 2nd half & hit 0 3s after hitting 7 in the first half.

Washington’s points came mostly from 3 players — Talia Walton, Kelsey Plum and Chantel Osahor. They scored 51 of Washington’s 62 points.

No one else made more than one shot for Washington.

Briana Day and Cornelia Fondren both had four fouls in the game.

Washington’s Chantel Osahor, who had 24 pts and 18 rebounds in the win over Stanford on Sunday, was held to 10 pts and 9 rebounds vs. SU

Osahor also finished the game with four fouls.

Chantel Osahor is a big post player, but she also hits 3s (3-for-5 from deep vs. Stanford). Syracuse held her to just 1-for-1.

I watched Washingtons' elite 8 game. Talia Walton, Kelsey Plum and Chantel Osahor are still the key players for Washington.
