I have been watching re-runs of older SU games on cable. Watching the games, like last night they had 1990's game v. Temple... it was striking to see the level of talent they had. Granted, it was not at all positions but overall it was really impressive and I sometimes forget it. Marvin Graves had Rob Carpenter, Shelby Hill and Chris Gedney to choose from. Marcus Paul and Dan Conley were just starting out. Terry Wooden. Some prior games in the late 80s had Billy Scharr with both Carpenter and Moore as options! Names like Paul Frase, Rob Burnett, Qadry Ismail. And I am not just referring to the names on paper. Look at these guys. They were athletes! I find myself watching the games and getting pissed at bad calls, etc. just like I would be were it live. It's a good way to get myself ready for the season.
