Kid stuck with this program for 4 difficult seasons. Never quit. Etta-Tawo will grab most of the publicity but Estime had an excellent 4 year career here. First "electrifying" player we have had here in a decade. Best punt returner we've had in 15-20 years. Single handedly won the Texas Bowl for us. Thanks for the memories.

Got a question here:

If I remember correctly (and I could be remembering wrong here) Brisly played the first 4 games of his sophomore year against Villanova, CMU, MD, and ND. He was gimpy going into that season due to an ankle injury, and sat out several games after ND until the Clemson game, during which he reinjured his ankle and was knocked out for the rest of that season. Could he have applied for a retroactive medical redshirt if he hadn't played past those first 4 games?

In addition to all the accolades above, Bris had THE most developed biceps I've ever seen on any SU football player in my 28 years. Also, not sure any SU WR has been overthrown more on sure TD deep balls after getting multiple strides behind the D. Kid was visibly frustrated but never stopped playing...never more evident than his perfect block that allowed Amba to score his 5 TD even when the game was out of reach yesterday.

Brisly was a blast to watch play and a highlight of some tough seasons. I wish him the best in the future. He has a real chance to play on Sundays as a return specialist.

Hear, hear. It is funny thinking back to when we recruited him--lots of posters claiming he was too small, that his age gave him a leg up on the HS competition he faced, many predictions that he'd never qualify academically, etc.

Estime ended up being one of the best players we've had on the team during his career. Agree that he singlehandedly won the bowl game for us. It is a shame that he got hurt his sophomore year, but he really had a terrific career in Orange. And, as things turned out, he was a pretty good student, too.

You must have forgot about Delone Carter...
