Rutgers has gotten so low that we’re now lumping them together with high school teams? For the record, DBP was not good until Toal (1999?) and they won’t be good without him.

Technically, they are a much different team. Before Ash, they would lose with 4* Flood recruits, now they are losing with 2* Ash recruits.

Not sure how they get a moral victory out of that, but, hey, they are Rutgers, they've gotten a lot of mileage out playing a game of soccer and calling it the first football game.

Outgained 471-195 and first downs were 28–10. This was not a “competitive most of the way but the better team pulled away late” 35-14 type game. It was a one-sided 35-14 game where it was never close or competitive, and where the final score easily could’ve been worse. The game was essentially over by halftime.

Lol. We spent a lot of time where all we had was moral victories. If you legit played them tough and they got a late TD or two to make it look worse than it was, fine. Talk your “moral victory”. That’s not what happened. That fanbase has a real problem in just being practical and seeing things for what they are.

Umich QB under threw the TE late in the game, Would have been a TD and increased the margin of victory.
