- The ugliness continues. Matt Park said that this game needed “the paddles of life” and that “this game looks like what you get if a game broke out in the parking lot after the game. “ That about says it. Loyola was inept and Syracuse would have short bursts of good play, followed by an extended period of sleeping walking. No problems got solved tonight.

- The two teams shot a combined 9 for 40 from three point range. Our own percentage keeps dropping. In this game it was 2 for 12 (.167). Enough bricks to build that new Dome they were talking about.

- These games are about “getting the young guys going”. Tyler Roberson didn’t play because of his abdominal strain. BJ. Johnson rebounded well, leading the team with 9 but was 2 for 7 from the field, 1 for 4 from the arc and had a couple of turnovers. Ron Patterson scored 2 points and had 3 fouls and a turnover. He did have four assists. It’s going to be a long journey for these guys.

- Rakeem Christmas is the king of the silly fouls. He had four of them tonight. With our lack of depth this has to stop, which doesn’t mean it will.

Tired of seeing Christmas take the blame for these fouls.

He's playing by a different set of rules from every other big man on the floor, getting hammered while shooting and then getting phantom calls on the other end.
