I think the war impacts the lack of variety in these films but they were good ones. Ox-Bow is a departure from war movies and thus has a more general appeal.

Haven't seen Ox-Bow, but Shadow of a Doubt is my pick. Very creepy Joseph Cotten character, nice departure for him.

I like The More The Merrier. Silly piece set in D.C. that captures an underportrayed aspect of the home front during the war.
