matches up against higher level defenses. This weekend two building programs that are "Baylor" style offenses, SU and Tulsa, are going up against two of the better defenses this year, Louisville and OSU respectively.

The one open question about this system is how does it translate against better defenses. Other than TCU the Big 12 hasn't been known for tough defense.

Another interesting note is how this offense has evolved away from it's Air Raid roots. Briles added more run over time, last year Baylor ran for 500 more yards than it passed, of course it was a ridiculous 8000 yds of total offense,

Saturday Tulsa smoked San Jose State rushing for 300 and passing for 200. Babers made if clear he isn't a throw every down guy either, and last year at BG shows that, they had over six games of over 200 yds rushing and play selection was 594 passes/542 runs.

If this Off. doesn't do well next week its doesnt mean much at this point . 1 or 2 years we should be measuring stick for Def's.

The old air raid didn't have the read option as much. The option to just hand off or pitch it to a wr is so easy that you have to wonder why everyone didn't do it

Back when everyone was in establish the run mode, I thought there should be more passing overall. Now we are staying to hit equilibrium in general

Or you can not set up anything and just score
Glad to see we finally got an offense you might enjoy, Steve and I have seen the Good, and the Bad for over 50+ years. For me I'm excited, and looking forward to enjoying the ride.

Not Briles related but bright offensive mind related, Western Kentucky at Alabama this weekend.

Really curious to see how they (and Tulsa) do. Obviously us too, but we are so early in the rollout.
