Give the Ticos credit. They played phenomenal defense and converted their chance.
The gap is narrowing. Just as it is in the NCAA tournament, if a team does not bring its "A" game, anyone can be beat.
Italy looked both tired and disjointed.
I liked the Cassano for Candreva substitution but Cassano was awful and the four strikers had no idea how to play together in the second half...
Consolation was that I watched the game in a great Italian restaurant right near work and had Octopus and Branzino for lunch...always an upside...
Italy - Uruguay for all the marbles is going to be some game.
Time to get ready for Portugal.
