They showed some of his pitches in slo-mo and they way he twists his elbow at the delivery oint is an indication of why he suffered a tear in there.Of course there is no pro pitcher in baseball that doesn't suffer a degree of severe strain in the shoulder or elbow. Its only a matter of time before some kid (male) will look to perfect an underhand delivery similar to a girls softball pitcher. The underarm delivery puts far less stress on the shoulder and elbow. He will be laughed at of course but that will stop after he strikes out the side with a rising fastball or slider on the out side of the plate.v These injuries are now so prolific due to the stresses going to encourage some kind of change in the delivery of the pitches.

Too bad you didn't let Girardi know about this before the game so he could have held Tanaka out and prevented his injury. Perhaps Rothschild could have even taught him to throw underhanded before his next start and saved the season.

I think the Yankees should hire Whitey Ford as their pitching coach. He the Mick and Billy Martin could go out and party all night and Whitey would throw a shutout the next day. The only elbow injury he ever suffered was due to hoisting one to many beers.
