3/26/57 Bobby Brown, former Yankees 3rd baseman and current doctor, was on TTT (at the 9:40 mark). Bobby was later President of the American League. One of the imposters is Lou Kusserow, former Columbia All-American who played for the New York football Yankees of the All-American Conference in the late 40’s. He later played on a Grey Cup winner in Canada and became TV producer and executive.

7/30/57 Yankee bat boy, Eddie Carr, appeared on TTT. He's the first guest. Ralph Bellamy subs for Bud Collyer. Eamon Andrews was the host of the British What's My Line but seems to know enough about basketball to participate

On 7/31/60, another Yankees’ batboy, Frank Prudenti, comes on at 22:35, the final contestant. It’s therefore brief. It must have been fun to hand bats to the likes of Mantle and Maris.

9/10/61 Gus Mauch, Yankee’s trainer, is the first guest. He signs in as “Mr. X because his name might have been more known than his face. Mantle hit his 53rd home run that day. Maris had 56 and they’d exceeded the combined record of Ruth and Gehrig, who had 107 in 1927. Gus says that Maris and Mantle both had a good chance to catch Ruth. But Mantle would hit only one more home run. “Mantle was unexpectedly hospitalized by an abscessed hip he got from a flu shot late in the season.” per Wikipedia. I wonder if that had happened already and Mauch wasn’t going to talk about it or if it had yet to happen at this point.

Gus had been on TTT back on 10/3/60:

With those bottle glasses, It's hard to see how he could see well enough to take care of Mantle and Maris.

Whitey Ford was the Yankee's famous ace of the time but Casey Stengel would just pitch him against the other team's best pitcher so he didn't get enough starts to win 20 games until Ralph Houk took over in 1961 and pitched him in the regular rotation. He then won 25 games and then 24 two years later.

If a player's pectoral muscles are in his leg, he's badly in need of a trainer.
