11/26/59 Don Drysdale “of the world champion Dodgers” appears on TTT. I apologize for the poor quality of this clip:


One imposter says the Brooklyn Dodgers won the pennant.


Don was the ace of the Dodgers at this time, not Sandy Koufax. Like many of the Dodgers he made several appearances in movies and TV shows in small parts. I was unable to find the “Lawman” episode referred to on You-Tube but here is is list of credits:

Don had just married his wife. The Dodger’s first season in LA was a poor one by their standards: 71-83 and 7th place. But they would come roaring back to win the World Series in 1959.
