3/23/58 Stirling Moss. He’s just run in the 12 hours of Sebring for Aston Martin but his gearbox failed. He’s asked which marque of car he likes the best but declines to answer because he wants all of them to consider hiring him in the future.

He’s the first guest. Striling was one of the greatest drivers of all time. He won a total of 212 races from 1948-1962, when he retired as a bad accident nearly killed him.

Stirling also appeared on TTT on 12/30/58:

"A tachometer (revolution-counter, tach, rev-counter, RPM gauge) is an instrument measuring the rotation speed of a shaft or disk, as in a motor or other machine." (Wikipedia)

Sterling completed the game show hat trick: He was on IGAS on 11/23/64, playing with toy race cars against some teenagers who had won a competition with them:

Stirling had had to retire two years earlier due to a near fatal accident. Fortunately, no drivers were injured in the toy car race.

Stirling never won the Formula One World Championship but this man won three of them:

11/21/60 Jack Brabham, was on TTT.

I Googled "Gordon Ord" and came up with nothing- at elast by way of race car drivers. .

6/7/61 The 50th (anniversary) Indy 500 winner, A. J. Foyt with the first, Ray Harroun on IGAS. It’s been more than 50 years since this show. A modern race car costs about $300,000. AJ's cost $30,000 and Ray's $2,000. Ray averaged 75mph. Foyt went 139mph. The 2015 Indy champ averaged 161mph.

I always thought A. J. Foyt's name sound like a race car going by: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A._J._Foyt

Ray Harroun invented the rear view mirror which allowed drivers to drive as the sole inhabitant of the race car, (they used to have racing mechanics come along not only to affect emergency repairs on the car and look around to war the driver what was going on around him.
