3/27/67 Gordie Howe made an appearance on TTT.

It’s amazing he wasn’t recognizable to the panel at this late date in his career.Despite all those facial cuts, he's still a very handsome man.

He was on the syndicated WML on 9/6/73, with his sons, who had just been drafted by the Houston Aeros of the WHL. Gordie had decided to join them so they could play a s a family and he’s every bit the proud father.

This time the MC is Larry Blyden who had been a panelist on Gordie's TTT appearance. He'd gotten it wrong on that occasion but sure knows who Gordie is here.

A short documentary on Gordie:

Howe had the reputation not only of a very great player with incredible longevity but also of being as physically and mentally tough as anyone on the ice. It always amazes me to hear his speak and see how incredibly soft-spoken and gentlemanly, even sentimental at time. I guess business is business and he was all business on the ice. And he played for 32 years without a helmet! (And he'd fractured his skull in 1950.)
