Marek Dolezaj

The Butcher of Bratislava.

Bonus: If they give him #53 we can just call him BB-8 for short.

Get him to grow out a wicked handlebar like this Butcher, and I'm sold on the nickname.

Maybe "Uh", as in the noise Butthead used to make often.

Also as in 'Marek "Uh" Dolezaj, as he might be called in the old school Sports Center days. It may make him feel more at home, like one of us, here in the Great Babylon.

As long as no poster uses their custom title to put "Sexual" in front of the nickname, like someone did for Thickburger, I'll likely be more accepting.

Anyhow, I have a photo that has the name, and yeah, I've got a real thickburger for ya in it too. Ive not yet determined what team is on the tube behind him.

My gold standard for European basketball is Detlef Schrempf.

Watching Dolezaj he isn't as big as Schrempf but his game reminds me of Detlef. He passes the ball, rebounds, decent not great shooter.

I think Schremph was a bit older. Plus, it seems that Marek was getting better as his season went on. I'm not saying that he will be as good as Schremph but I think this kid will be a good shooter for us. the rumor is that when he visited, the coaches thought he was a much better shooter than they thought.

I loved when Bill Walton used to call Detlef Schrempf NBA games on NBC.

Walton loved Schrempf like he was the greatest player of alltime. It was hilarious.
First time old Bill caller a Detlef Schrempf game, he nearly had to be hospitalized for dehydration, its true.

Man, I wish I had seen one of them! That was back before I knew what a broadcasting legend Walton was. If anyone has one of those recorded somewhere, I will pay good cash, American.

Walton and Snapper Jones were great together. I remember one time Walton said Detlef has amazing low post moves for a little guy. Jones replied I guess if you consider someone who is 6'9" little. He then replied with disdain, Snapper anyone under 7 feet is small. It was hilarious.

as of now I'll call him morph

Nah. We haven't even begun to overhype him yet! Paul Harris was built up to Zeus status for months, maybe years before he got on campus!
