It’s not just us.

Florida “ Our uniforms are the weirdest of all time”

Ohio State “ Hold my beer”

Is there a clause in the contracts that requires the schools to accept whatever trash Nike designs? I don't know how some of the stuff they've come up with for UVa's Mlax uniforms could ever have been deemed acceptable. My "favorite" is our white MLax jerseys with the blue "wings".

Don't the schools have to agree? No one is holding a gun to a school's head.

I have a feeling we're going to love our uniforms next year, even if they aren't McNabb era styling.

Trust me a lot of people will hate them. No inside knowledge to what our next unis will look like, but I know the board

Uniforms change too often now. And teams wear too many different uniforms within a season. It’s disorienting. You can’t ever get used to anything or identify with anything.

Uniform changes used to be a big deal, but now you can’t even keep track of when it happens.

Held this "Buckeyes" jersey up to my wife at a slight distance. We live in Ohio, mind you.

Her first three guesses:

1. Army: great guess, they wear grey ... but nope!

2. Syracuse: obvious choice, since we are fanatics ... nope again

3. Clemson: by this time, she's incredulous and has no idea, so she's just guessing.

The point is: Nike is making traditional teams unrecognizable.

Not.

Who needs to build brand equity when you can look like a clown? Destroying brand images for the sake of proving that they're worse at designing jerseys than the other two major jersey manufacturers isn't even good for Nike.

Nike's butt ugly uniform designs are part of a globalist conspiracy to destroy all that was considered traditionally good and unique about America's best universities. All uniforms going forward will be the some form of grey, each team eventually losing their individual identity and ultimately becomimg part of the Nike One World Borg collective :)

It’s ohio state. It’s one game

I knew this was going to happen.

Evidently you don't watch much SU football. It's far from only impacting Ohio State, and it's annoyingly far more encompassing than just one game.

I watch SU every game. I don’t love the unis but I know which team is SU. My point about Ohio state is they have one game per year where they wear something different

It seems to me that the top programs have almost all gone back to their traditional looks for most games. Maybe a throw back look like Michigan does but much less of the crazy stuff seen 5 years ago among the winners. Which seems to go against the argument I used to see out here that it was all about recruiting and giving the young kids cool stuff. Clemson, Alabama, USC.....all seem to be doing fine with the boring old stuff. Even Penn State has come back without every going all gray.
