dont tweet at recruitsThis guy is really good and could fill a huge void with Steve, Erv, and Custis leaving. He is tweeting a storm about cuse right now. Y'all should show him love... @AntonioGibson14
dont tweet at recruits
No. I saw someone tweeting questions at a prospect the other night that made me cringe.100% tweet at recruits
100% tweet at recruits

I'm 31. Bnoro is younger than I am. It's not old school thinking. Tweeting at 17 year olds is weird.Old school of thought, things change. Your opinion is noted. I'm not sitting here saying people should be going over board and asking questions, but a "Go orange" is fine.
Your statement is basically "100% tweet at underage kids"...
Just let these kids enjoy the process, they are under enough pressure as is and don't need adults being fan-girls or fan-boys over them...

So now you are calling me old. I may have to block you on twitter.Old school of thought, things change. Your opinion is noted. I'm not sitting here saying people should be going over board and asking questions, but a "Go orange" is fine.

I'll say I have no problem with congratulatory tweets for receiving an offer or committing.Lol -_- I'm just saying... I acknowledge that there is a fine line, and I have seen some pretty creepy tweets but nothing wrong with a player committing and tweeting a "Congrats".
I don't tweet kids. In fact I don't tweet anyone. I don't even have twitter. But what exactly is an "underage kid" when it comes to tweeting a recruit? Is there an age of consent I'm unaware of? What if the fan is 19 and he's tweeting a 17 year old? What if the fan is 21? 22? When is it ok? If the recruit was at a game, and a 35 year old dude saw him, and began chatting to him, and high fiving him, and imploring him to come to Syracuse, nobody would bat an eye. Why is tweeting somehow off limits? I hear recruits cite the "crazy fans", and "the twitter army", as things they loved.Your statement is basically "100% tweet at underage kids"...

You guys make this seem like it's Chris Hansen's To Catch a Predator.
Honestly, I think the players love when they are getting tweeted at. They RT everything and "like" everything for a reason. They love to feel loved. They want to go to a school with fans and fans that will root for them.
I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Kids want to go to a school with camaraderie and where the fans are passionate. That we are.
The key word is respectful. Too many kids put respect my decision in commitment or decommitment tweets because of the crazy fans that tweet awful things at them when thye choose another school or decommit. There are a lot of idiots on the internet.Kids do love it. If fans are respectful to the kids, then I see nothing wrong with it at all. Even with Dino and all the good things going on for us right now, we can use any recruiting advantage we can get.

Nice back handed comment, but it's a reach lol and doesn't change my stance. I'm not some 50 something with kids, I'm a few years removed from college. Cuse twitter army has been effective. An engaged fan base is not a negative.

Right...but why? Why is it creepy to tweet someone and tell him how stoked you'd be if he chose Cuse. Why would that be creepy? I get someone acting like an a-hole, but your stance is 100% don't talk to recruits? You didn't say don't be a disrespectful idiot...you said 100% don't talk to recruits. It's simple really, just don't talk to recruits. Of course there exceptions to it, but overall the world of people reaching out to recruits is out of hand. Never said I was going to dial up Chris Hansen, but it is overall creepy.
