Last Jedi

I'm going to see it Friday and then heading to Cuse-Gtown game on Saturday. Hoping to be highly entertained while watching the dark side fall flat on it's face in both capacities.

I just got my tickets for 3:45pm on Saturday. This thing is getting absurdly positive reviews in early returns.

I am seeing the movie at 8:30 now will give a thumbs up or down after its over.

All I will say is that this isn’t a ripoff of Empire Strikes Back and people will BE SHOCKED AFTER THE MOVIE is over.

The soundtrack leaked today and as a die-hard fan of the music as well as the movies, I have to say it's some of William's best work. Although there aren't many new themes this around, it is an amazing "next level" for themes introduced last movie as well as the prior pictures. I got a spoiler or two from some of the thematic elements but I expected to be spoiled a little listening ahead of time, and the moments spoiled in music make me giddy.

Rey's theme is used epic-ly this time around. I'm so pumped to see it tomorrow night.

So you have seen it??

I would suggest by the way, that we need a completely separate post for any discussion that could include spoilers once it gets into wide circulation.

Use the Spoiler functionality.

Yeah I saw it and to be honest I wasn’t happy with the story.
Weak IMO.

Some major places had tons of sell outs , others barely a ripple. Syracuse has like 3-4 as of thurs morning. but with 40-50 shows within a foot print not surprised. Why go see it in a packed place when you have tons of choices of other times.

Opening night of a blockbuster, and there was 25 people in my theater.
I suppose it has to do with how many screens it’s on these days. My mall had like three going at a time

Wow. Local to me, the entire weekend was basically sold out except for the very very front row. I don't know if all theaters do this now, but here, they actually assign you a seat number when you buy a ticket. So I was buying a ticket on Monday for this weekend and could find only one showing out of about 25-30 that had 3 non-front-row seats available.

from what i read there was a large group of people upset with #7 because it was too much like #4 and a large group happy because it felt the same, it sounds like much the same here. a large group happy because it treads down some new paths and a large group upset because it doesnt follow the old trilogy close enough..

but really the people who are just movie fans seem to be enjoying it its the die hards that are doing all the fighting
