reading their boards it’s laughable to see how much whining they are doing about Duke, Coach K cheating, how unfair it is etc. they have 6 Mc Donald’s all Americans on their roster and a couple other top 50 players and they are complaining. Nice to see their fans get a little dose of how the rest of the country feels when it comes to dealing with teams stockpiling ridiculous amounts of talent.

Oh well we will still beat Duke even with all that talent.

Cuse!

I can see Calipari leaving after this year if an exit makes itself available. No top 10 player in this class and this current class has not panned out in addition to the missed. The fanbase is growing restless and I'm sure he feels it.

This is like when Red Sox fans used to whine about the Yankees spending and they had the second highest payroll in baseball.
As long as UVa and Cuse and several other ACC teams beat them, I'll be happy...

I am sure there are a fair bunch of hypocrite Tar Heel fans as well that are angry at the system.

As someone residing in the state of Kentucky, losses are always the officials fault and the insecurities in regard to Duke are standard. A UK basketball fan is also an Alabam Football and Yankees fan. If a bad season occurs, they take the year off.

LOL, Cal is so salty. What a goof this guy is.

"I don't sell, when you come here: 'The university and the state will take care of you for the rest of your life.' You may buy that, and I've got some great property and some swampland down in Florida to sell you too. Every one of us in this country is based on, you have to take care of your self, prepare yourself, and then when you make it you make sure you're helping and along the way you're bringing other people with you. That's what we're trying to do: just give these guys the best opportunity. We're not trying to say that this university or state will take care of you for the rest of your life. There's no socialism here. This stuff is you have to go do it and we're going to help you do it. Some like that, some don't like that." - via UKAthletics.com

When in hotels sometimes I watch tv(I dont normally otherwise), and saw Cal's 30 for 30 or whatever, and it actually changed my feelings about him somewhat. Most of my dislike is focused on Duke now, starting to distance itself a bit even from UNC for me.

The old "enemy of my enemy" is what comes to mind here, so Cal is basically doing US a favor by firing these salvos, is he not? I, for one, am grateful for it. K is looking like he could go in Wooden mode, and any attempt to weaken him is something I applaud, even if it's coming from a salty Cal. lol (Im using restraint to not make a joke about him mentioning socialism, I'm almost shaking!)

There are no prizes for having the top recruiting class. Despite all of those great recruiting classes Kentucky has just one National Championship under Calipari and looking backwards in time UConn (2011 & 2014) has two championships more recently than DuKe (2010 & 2015) does.

He is wrong. Millennials expect others to provide for them. They expect reward without effort. They expect equal outcome without equal input of time, effort or talent. That is where America is going.

I wonder if Duke sold Jordan Tucker this "brotherhood" crap? It must have been an awesome experience for those 16 weeks. BTW, how can you have a brotherhood when most Duke players, lately anyway, have never played with one another? Is Jason Tatum going to be best buds with Zion? He certainly won't be tweeting Tucks anytime soon.

The whole brotherhood angle takes me back to when Stephon Marbury was sobbing about how Cremins was going to be his "surrogate". Huh? Surrogate father? Daddy Warbucks is more like it. #bagmenfromgeorgia

Coach K isn't wrong. His sell is Duke while Pay Pal Cal's sell is the NBA. I'd choose Duke to.

Baloney. What Duke is selling is anything but socialism. It's the "good ole (Duke) boys network". Come here and we'll plug you into the Duke network. After your hoops career is over, the Duke connection will be there to help you out.

What a jerk K is promoting life outside of basketball. Honestly, I think if I was K, I'd put that Calipari quote in my marketing materials.

What K has done, in a far more competitive era of college basketball, is exponentially greater than anything Wooden did. While I doubt K is clean, Wooden might be the worst cheat in college basketball history. He's by far the greatest coach in college basketball history.

Chris Duhon’s mom had a do nothing job with a Duke alum while he played there.
Duke isn’t clean.
With that said I wish these kids were paid as they make their schools millions.

Personally liked Dean better. In the years Dean coached, Mike only had two titles too. Harder to win it all back then IMO. Better competition. Dean retired right as things were changing in regards to everyone good going pro after a year.
