I just think everyone else is catching up. You really can’t have an off day anymore and expect to escape with a W. Still wouldn’t be shocked to see an ACC win the title this year.

This one shocked me - Michigan is so young and ND is such a veteran laden team. Gotta believe they got caught looking ahead to their next three games (Ohio State, Cuse, Duke) and they just took this one for granted. Big win for HC Kevin Conroy. These Big 10 teams seem to have unlimited resources (Conroy made $190K in his first head coaching gig / Nick Meyers at Ohio State makes $300K+ / Tillman at Maryland made $415K).

Any idea what Syracuse is paying Desko?

Surprised at many of these upsets this year but shocked by few given the landscape today. Emotions play a huge part is sports. Rutgers sky high for us, Michigan sky high for ND. Talent disparity in the ND game was much wider so are their fans howling for coaches head after that loss. Corrigan has been there for thirty years without a national championship despite all the talent that has flowed through.

I don't think the talent disparity is that large. Michigan has three or four players with as much talent as any of the ND squad. This game turned on goalie play in my opinion. The Michigan goalie made several difficult stops. ND goalie not many. Noseworthy took the ND defense apart in the middle. ND slid much too quickly to the wings. Midweek games are always a test of physical and psychological stamina.

Agreed. ACC after this weekend is now a measly 2-6 versus the Big Ten.

Just feels wrong that Maryland lax is no longer in the ACC. Guess it had to do with $ n the revenue generating sports. Maybe they will rejoin someday n Rutgers might come aboard as well.
