What you don't know the coaching history. Babers got his start at EIU as the Running backs coach and years later became the HC before BGSU. Who knows, maybe he wants his old job back. ;)

I do- that's why I mentioned it.

Babers would be going 'home', like the Marrone did for his 'dream job'.

Jags are now 3-7. :rolling:

Maybe one of his trusted assistants would like a stab at a HC gig? Mcleod followed Babers to EIU and Lynch was actually there before Babers - almost a decade in total.

James Franklin is a recruiter, everybody knows that. USC has zero problem recruiting.

Franklin is not a great technician as it applies to X’s & O’s. I don’t think he solves USC’s problems unless he hires a phenomenal staff. He’s lucky he got the OC he did at Penn State. If he didn’t, I think people would be having a different discussion about him.

Shhh! All true, but no need to say it out loud. Let them be excited about Franklin.

Hearing Satterfield from App State to the Tar Heels as a possibility for the UNC job....

Hoo's That I see that London may be leaving Howard to become the HC at William & Mary. Is he determined to be the HC at every university/college in VA? ;)
That leaves only JMU, VMI, ODU, VPI, and Liberty.

Seriously, I think he’s a good candidate for them. We couldn’t ask for anything more from him or his players as far as off-the-field stuff was concerned. They just didn’t perform on the field as they should have. I think he’s learned from the experience and will do much better there, especially that they have a different level of expectations.

Calm down fellas. I got SS going to UMASS. UMASS AD is a Ithaca grad as is Wolfie, so I'm sure he knows Scott. I still don't know why the Orange can't play UMASS.

"But there are reasons behind the scenes for optimism in the Syracuse program, and it starts with DeVito. Babers has raved about him since signing him from Don Bosco High School in New Jersey three years ago. DeVito was a blink from overtaking Dungey for the job after coming off the bench to lead Syracuse to a come-from-behind victory over North Carolina earlier this season. No one in the program would have been too surprised. There’s also bountiful optimism about some skill position players, as Michigan State transfer Trishton Jackson has the potential to be the most talented receiver Babers has had in his tenure at Syracuse. The same could be said for tailback Abdul Adams, who averaged 9.2 yards per carry at Oklahoma on 59 carries in 2017. Both were former four-star recruits and project as upgrades.
Syracuse fell to 8-3 on Saturday, but don’t be surprised if the general exposure of the program and to Babers’ explosive offense draws more high-profile transfers to help Syracuse keep building. It wouldn’t be surprising to see them in the preseason Top 25 and keep building."
10 takeaways: Clay Helton's seat is white-hot and he's out of answers
Next year’s offense will be as good as the offensive line allows it to be.

Be interested to see how Venables does if he get a head job. I thought it was only a matter of time that he would be a head coach when he was an asst at Kansas State but it's never happened.

I've read that this is suppose to be Snyders' last year. Some tweets about Venables to K State.

If I was K State, I'd be happy with Venables. But Snyder seems dead set on his son taking over and I sense this could get ugly from what I hear locally. I would hate to see that. Snyder has made the K State program but he's a coach, not the AD.
