Sure. The problem is when that kid, who selects into this risk, gets the person who cleans the locker room or serve lunch in the caf sick, because they likely aren't chasing pro football dream.

You're making the assumption that college football means something in NYS. It doesn't outside of those bandwagon fans for ND, Mich, PSU etc. and the smaller pockets for for us, Buffalo and down the line.

100% agree. Most people I knew/know wanted a new experience when picking a college (regardless if the driving factors were athletic or academic). Never understand why people think the in-state thing cares to kids.

SU's futility in the last 15+ years has very little to do with where recruits were raised and more to do with the inability for any of them to play QB well.
