It's a middle of the pack, largely irrelevant ACC team against a vastly superior team. It was what it was. Have to "trust the process" because this won't change overnight.

You can still root for FAU -- FDU was taunting and targeting him the entire game. He's a kid, made a mistake and coach handled it, didn't let him attend the postgame.

Agree, very obvious to me the talent is not there. Will always have some under the radar recruits do better than projected, but we have a bunch of typical bench players starting and hoping we can make the system work with them -- it's not.

Brought in two highly regarded 4 * PG recruits who couldn't cut it. Those are just misses, other programs would have jumped at them also. Obviously the one from last year is the one that stings, because he finally did have a chance to fix it and couldn't keep him around.

The damage either of these teams (especially UCONN) would do to us is unfathomable.

Not surprising. Anyone who has watched Syracuse basketball long enough can see these players have the name on the jersey, but that's about as close they come to being anywhere near the Syracuse talent level we have been accustomed to for decades. They have the makeup of a middling A-10 team...

I was literally in junior high but even then remembered Kenny Anderson being a "lock" for Syracuse and the surprise when all of a sudden it was Ga Tech -- almost seemed like it was out the blue. Had the same feeling with Marbury 5-6 years later -- lost to the same school. The recruiting we had...

Other than Buddy, Kadary is the player I feel we just can't lose. The others..feel the portal taketh...but it can also giveth. Just plug in Kadary as the starting PG, please -- and hope he's happy.

This thread (and board) are descending into chaos. With that said, -- and I am not saying I don't think JGIII can't develop into a nice player -- but we can see why he was rated as low as he was even with the prolific, mind blowing H.S. stats.

Have you seen how "big" Edwards is? Do you really want to put him in that spot a couple of games into his collegiate career right there? I guess you do.

This is the hard truth many on here don't want to accept. The talent level is so much lower than what we are used to seeing on the court for this program -- it's painfully obvious and not a surprise. Looks and feels like A10 type talent. You can still win without having top 50 players, but the...

I just find it odd that the past two (2) "higher"/similarly rated "PG" recruits we have had have had identical results when they arrive.
