It's probably not true. And if it is -- good for him. But it is out of whack with "market rates / value" for higher profile prospects.

Great post. And to what you outlined, I'd add that a few postseason runs mask / cloud the way that many perceive the generally subpar performance a couple of those seasons. In particular, there are at least three teams that barely made the NCAA tournament that went on post-season runs that far...

Yes, but $$$ / elite academic institution / ability to play in front of family close to his hometown. Those are the factors potentially driving him to georgetown, or either school in the DMV [Maryland is a good school, but not elite like gtown].

Truthfully, I don't think there was anything SU could do. We didn't accept academic non-qualifiers, so he wasn't eligible for a scholarship. The Walton family didn't have the financial wherewithal to pay for school out of pocket as a non-scholarship recipient, so that was that. Agree 100%...

Enjoyed the season. Felt that entire season was good / not necessarily great [by Curb standards], but still funnier and of higher quality than just about anything else out there. Finale had surprisingly satisfying ending, but was a bit ham-fisted. Hard to believe it's over.
