Enough.
Babers is gone. He tried his way. He also, hours after the win over #2 Clemson, was at a Trill Williams home game Saturday morning.
He probably didn’t do that enough. Whatever. Fran is younger and hustles and is so different.
I didn’t realize FOGO has been that bad historically. My kid plays them for the third year now….this is the first year he said going into the season that they were bad at it. Yikes (for them.)
Because there’s too much noise of portal entries and the final four.
Judah, I bet, wants to time things so he can be more of the story. Next week or thereafter.
Is that helpful to the SU Coaching staff trying to recruit a legit One in what looks like a stacked backcourt? Nope…which is why I’d...
Brown knew Freeman was committed for a long time.
Brown says he’s coming back three weeks ago.
Lampkin officially enters the portal the same day Brown does…and Lampkin is in Central NY a day later.
Losing Maliq stinks but Red is making moves.
I doubt Red ran him off. Brown is/was an asset.
We are lucky in that we have Freeman coming in and is by all accounts an upgrade at the four. Brown likely has new option$ and didn't waant to play the 5. Sucks, but the transfer portal is more th norm than not.
That's...a bit dramatic. Coming off a year where...:
We had our best regular season in five years
We had our highest regular season wins in the ACC since we are #1 in the USA a decade ago
We were in 4th place going into the last regular season
We lost multiple impact players before (Westry) and...
Very few teams keep their best players. And probably fewer when you have a first-year coach going into his second.
Alabama lost four transfers and something like two or three of their top six scorers transferred in.
Ain’t too many UCONNs and Purdues and both had to be built.
I’m actually surprised by the over-the-top reactions of people in this thread.
There is no stench around this program. There just isn’t. The one-and-done world of going to the NBA is now for everything.
NC State has a final four team with a starting five entirely made up of transfers...
He played more snaps on the OL last year than DL. Brunswick's OL had a Kentucky commit and a fellow junior who just committed to Notre Lame. Love that we're getting a kid or two out of there for football and lax.
A “good day” like this does not matter when Clemson files something against the conference as a second punch.
The best thing that could happen is JW becoming the interim ACC Commissioner in this turbulent era.
We have a one-and-done QB. Not the best situation to get a # 2 that could almost be #1 in today's portal/
And we aren't there where we can have a Garrett Shrader show up behind a Devito. And not as worried as I don't sense our offense will rely on a star/go-make-plays-yourself QB.
Not worried...
I will say, such an open-ended, cryptic statement allows you to drive ANY future news through it.
GMac leaving Red for an HC
Judah leaving SU a la Copeland
Peter Carey taking off (the significant other to the disabled list)
Mike Veley, the significant other to the Dome post Mayor Pete leaving...
As a Syracuse fan, that was awesome.
As a Syracuse fan living in Fairfield County with a couple neighbors with kids on Duke, I f…ing LOVED the beat down.
The bounce passes, physicality and discipline for 60 minutes.…HHH was alive and well today.
A fair push.
They had no bad losses (all Q1 and 2) but Q1 wins were over Illinois twice and Indiana State...which didn't make it but perhaps should have.
Hopefully they suck so UVA isn't the only one that has a clear What performance at a time where the ACC is under self attack.
Red had to deal with a lot of players missing for one reason or another after losing Jesse late in the process.
What we saw this year was more forced than architected.
