I truly believe we are a better team with Marek on the court. Doesn't matter if he is at the 3, 4 or 5...he is that "glue" guy with an extremely high basketball IQ that will make a few shots or passes to put us in a position to win. I'm thinking he has to be, at least, a 20 minute to 25...

Bottom Line...we have the defense and athletes to compete in every game we will play this year. If this team can find a consistent shooter (possibly two) then we win 20-22 games. If we continue to partake in dogfights and shoot 30%-35% we win 16-17 games and miss the tournament. Wish the...

Just looking at next year's squad and it looks downright scary. Howard at PG Hughes at SG Bazley at PF Sidibe at C Brissett at SF Bench: Carey, Dolezaj, Chukwu, Boeheim, Washington, Moyer That's about a sick of a team as we've ever had... Probably both a solid defensive and offensive squad.

When examining our squad it looks like we have a few 4 year type guys that many times are integral parts of very successful teams. Guys like Dolejac, Sidibe and Moyer are names we'll see in the program for years to come and individuals that may once again lead us back to the promised land...

If he left he would miss the sleepovers with the recruits far too much. He is staying! :)

Just watched the video on Roberts for the first time. Very impressed at his ability to finish around the rim..love that he is a lefty and he has the shoulders of Dwight Howard which tells me he can certainly bulk up much bigger and be a force down low. Sounds like he may not come our way...

All of a sudden I am happy the NCAA conducted a 9 year investigation on our program. I'm hoping that kind of scrutiny has kept our program relatively clean......avoiding the shady pay for play scenarios that seem to have been the backbone of other successful programs. Just a thought...

This is the FBI conducting this investigation...not the s*it stain NCAA. It will be interesting how this all plays out because we're not talking just suspensions here...we're talking arrests and time in Federal prison.

Way way way way to early Season record thread. I completely understand that our schedule is not even set yet but I"m looking at the ACC foes we'll face as well as the out of conference teams. Regular Season 21-12 ACC 11-7 (finish 5th) Make NCAA tournament - 2nd round loser.

Battle, in my opinion, will be sliding to the 3 at various times because our forward spots are so weak. With that in mind we could see a good amount of Howard, Thorpe, Battle, Thompson and Moyer. OR have Thompson slide to the 4 and have Chukwu in the middle.

I hope TT learned how to play defense in the offseason because much of our success is going to be our ability to defend.

I for one think we could surprise next year..but I also thought last year's team was the most talented we had (on paper) in 20 years so who knows. I do know we are in good hands with Battle and Thompson. Much of our success will be our ability to defend.

I do agree. We are a very old Northeastern program and should stick to the old school tradition style...ala Penn State. We're not Oregon or some of these other schools that have 10 variations of their uniform.
