Syracuse football players sit out first practice with coronavirus concerns

Would have been nice, but I think SU dropped the game.

Syracuse football players sit out first practice with coronavirus concerns

Your statements are ridiculous and shrouded in fear. SU had a terrible season. LU went 8-5 with CURE Bowl Victory! First full FBS season. The LU -SU game was an team awakening, with no head coach! LU's endowment is larger than SU's and they have an excellent facility, staff and program! I...

Syracuse football players sit out first practice with coronavirus concerns

Outside of the recently ousted President Falwell Jr., Liberty is an excellent intitution and great campus. There is a $175 fine for alcohol on campus followed by removal for repeat offenders...so far none! It's a great atmosphere with a very positive student and faculty body!

Class of 2016 RB/CB Joshua Mack (NY) Verbal to Maine/Transferred to Liberty

Jack Cosgrove left the UMaine football program yesterday The rule violation I was referring to is the HC cancelled his scholarship away in December, after he requested a PTC. There was "no reason" specified for the cancellation. It is in the appeal process. NCAA has stated that the...

Class of 2016 RB/CB Joshua Mack (NY) Verbal to Maine/Transferred to Liberty

I was told that by one of my colleagues that Babers is concerned about his record, going into his 3rd season, and is looking for players who could play right away next year. But these new guys are unproven at the college level and are no guarantee to be impact players as true freshmen...even if...

Class of 2016 RB/CB Joshua Mack (NY) Verbal to Maine/Transferred to Liberty

Got an offer from University of Minnesota and Old Dominion. Still waiting to here from SU. Its sad to say but UMaine coaches are attempting to sabotage his opportunity to transfer by spreading untruths simply because he requested a PTC. I just hope they did not get to SU coaches. Unbelievable!

Still haven't heard from Baber's team. We are seeking a ruling from the NCAA to allow eligibility to transfer and play next season due to an NCAA rule violation at Maine.

Yeah. He grew up in the Cuse area...down the road in Rochester. We have always been Cuse fans. It's unfortunate that he had to go away to prove his worth, but it was also a difficult time for Cuse...with new coach and all. HS coach has informed me that he has full offers at other FBS schools...

Thanks guys. We have put in for a "permission to contact" and will pick it up on Friday. Will be reaching out to the SU staff next week. Hopefully they will be interested. Current rules require one year redshirt. Might change for next year according to the NCAA. Either way is okay!

Class of 2018 RB Stevie Scott III (NY) Decommitted from Rutgers/Verbal to Indiana

It's not speed. It's mindset at SU regarding NY RBs. Mack was a 4.5 in high school and has increased through development. Had an outstanding freshman season. Played 9 games with over 1000 all-purpose yards 8 TDS, Freshman of the Year, 2 time CAA freshman of the week and New England...

    Let this sink in

Look, everyone knows how to defend the no-huddle offense. It's nothing new! There are times when calling a huddle is actually the best decision to make. I just think this system would greatly benefit from more flexibility from this mandatory no huddle stuff! What's the point if you're not...

    Let this sink in

Baylor does have more NFL talent than we do (all sarcasm aside)! For Dungey, he seems to get hand-fatigue in the second half. The ball seems to be slipping off his fingers and dying in the air in the second half.

    Let this sink in

The problem with the system is that they're trying to get these young guys to do things at pace and execution that NFL players have a hard time executing. The guys are out of gas by the second half! Dungey is expected to release the ball faster than Peyton Manning. That might work for a bit...

I hope not but it remains to be seen. Let's be clear, my loyalty is to the institution and NY youth, not the coaches that come and go. HS coaches do a great job of adjusting their system every year because they don't have the luxury of recruiting. It's not about appeasing HS coaches but...

They do have some out of state players. Picked up FB from Buffalo Canisius last year (2015). They filled 17 slots for the 2016 class. Head coach is from Upstate New York (Lockport). They had the budget. Was simply a decision of the new OC. Similar to T. Riggins. Same thing happened with...

Class of 2017 An Early Look at the Best Players in the Class of 2017 for New York State

Did you ever ask why? Their is no genetic inferiority to NYS athletes. The saturation of great players may not be as large, but regardless of the numbers, we must make every effort to keep the good ones in state. Remember, my son never wanted to attend SU. That's not the point. That was my...

I'm with you but if you consider how the staff treated the 2016 Top NY Prospects, then you have to seriously doubt they will do any different. D Babers press conference statement that the top recruits from NY were committed to other schools was a deception. Most of the players he recruited...
