Agreed. The ACC has 8 final four teams in the last 8 years most of any conference. Also have won Championship 3 times in that span… most of any conference. The ACC also won the ACC/B1G challenge this year. When it matter most in March, the ACC is far and away the best conference in the country...

It will most likely never happen… but if Red could get Benny to by into playing a Tyler Roberson type role… he would demand minutes over Taylor. I think Benny has the motor, athleticism, and strength to play as active as Roberson did, but does he have the mentality to do so? I would guess not...

Beating out Mississippi St for this kid isn’t insignificant. Apart from the obvious of them being in the SEC West… they have excelled at sending DL to the NFL. Chris Jones, Jeffery Simmons, Preston Smith. Just to name a few.

I think Birtwistle would thrive on attack. Feel he is playing a bit out of position at middie. That being said, I agree, Hiltz won’t be coming out of the box this year. Leo at attack is interesting too because he can step into that left handed role, while giving us a much better dodging option...

Personally, I’m just not willing to go that far. I need to see the coaching, specifically on offense and see how the roster gels. That stuff matters regardless of talent. OL needs some upgrades if we want to be serious contenders.

Two parts of the schedule really jump out to me… gotta be at least 6-1 after the 7 game home stand. Then gotta go 1-1 in maybe the toughest 2 game stretch any team in the country will play… @ND on March 30th then @Cornell April 2nd.

This is another exciting prospect despite his lack of stars. Some serious programs getting involved at the end of his recruitment. Typically guys like this we have committed, and they get picked off by the big boys. It’s nice for roles to be reversed.
