My favorite McNeil moment was his senior day against UConn (an electric win for us). He was self conscious about not having any family to join him since his Mom passed away. The team walked out with him and the Dome gave him a long thunderous standing ovation.

That's why I hate the talking point that we only won the title because of Melo. If our whole team is Melo, then we get bounced in the 2nd round and have zero titles. McNeil/Pace/Edelin won that game.

I agree that it may start late, but college basketball games are short compared to every other sport. I don't think CBB title games end later than most other major sports besides the Super Bowl.

That's interesting because just off the top of my head, I feel like the NBA Finals, World Series, Stanley Cup playoff games, college football natty, etc. all end around 11-11:30 pm. The only one that ends a little earlier than that is the Super Bowl.

We were closer to the bubble and won more games in 2024 than we were in 2022 and 2023. If we take a huge step back in 2025 and have a .500ish season overall, I will be very worried. It's possible in 2025 that we get stronger as a program but still miss the tourney again. It will obviously suck...
