I have a 3 way tie for 6th (18 world ranking points) moving Tiger up from 1.95 to 2.39 ...which would be 49th in the world currently. 49th and 50th are currently at 2.36 and 2.34. Also nobody outside of the top 50 had a huge week. I also know some of his past events before the Masters start to lose some minor points each week. It will be very close. If he is not in the top 50... can't be much lower than 52.

They just announced that Tiger is up from #71 to #50 in the World Golf Rankings, so he has qualified for last running of the WGC-Akron in 2 weeks time.

It's amusing that in the presser Tiger thought he needed top 4, and a 3 way tie for 6th was enough. He was helped by Zach Johnson having a weak day.

Rory back in the race at -5 thru 11.

Rory is becoming the King of the Sunday early finish Top Ten. Not sure that's a good thing.

If Tom Watson is still alive at 100, I bet he could still go out and figure out a way to contend at St. Andrews. Just made a double bogey but only 1 back of the lead in the Sr Open at age 68
