looks like TC just stole Norwell, out from under Gettlemen, I imagine there’s a table or 2 being flipped down Rt 3 right about now.

Option 1 was Norwell and Barkley
Option 2 was Norwell and Nelson
Option 3 was Norwell and trade back a bit hoping for Nelson
Option 4 was Norwell and trade further back for a boatload of picks

Not sure what the plan is now.

Good grief.
He is okay but the guy isn’t a top tier LT.
I wanted to trade him for Erick Flowers last year.
He rebounded but he isn’t worth that.
Good for the Giants though.
Belichick doesn’t overpay.

Their are some guys who succeed elsewhere like Adam Vinateri, Damien Woody, Asante Samuel but most of them fall off like Lawyer Malloy, Richard Seymour, Ty Warren.

Solder is okay he is a loss but he isn’t a top 5 LT. He is the highest paid LT now. He is a good character guy but he does struggle against speedy DEs.
He is great against power DEs.
Better run blocker than pass blocker.

Belichick had a number and wasn’t going over it. If you guys have the cap space it makes sense but if not this will be a bad contract.

I will say one thing about Solder. He did a very good job in the Super Bowl on Vinny Curry and Derek Barnett. Brady was getting the ball out quickly but neither one of those guys had much success against Solder.

I don’t think we’ve had a good OL this decade. Ridiculous. Just friggin fix it.

No doubt. You can't contend for, much less win, a SB unless you have an above average OL. That's what some never figured out about Philly. Their OL was the best in the league after a few years of mediocre line play.
