2019-20 Season Opener: Virginia on November 6

Isn't the Champions Classic some sort of discrimination rule breaking something?

This is your new norm. Welcome to life with a network that brings in $.
I hope it is a lot and they plow that money into the program. I think UNC is getting the 9pm slot on that slate to demolish ND. If it is anything like this year's game, it won't be a fun way to start the season and it looks like SU is being set up to be the Washington Generals.

So are we no longer separating non-conference from conference play? Or is this a one-off thing to pimp the new network to the masses?

Yep. Going to 20 ACC games next year.
I’m not thrilled with the 20 game conference schedule unless the ncaa is upping the number of games players overall. They really should do that. It’s been the same for a long time, besides the changes to exempt tourneys.

ACC is using the start of the season to to get interest in the ACCN thus that is why everyone minus Duke will be playing conference games.
I expect it to occur for atleast a few years.
We will have 20 conference games now.
Thus only 8 nonconference slots and a a holiday tournament.
