So I heard Devin Butler was seen in the defensive huddle the last plays of the game at BC and is getting looks at cornerback. If he wants to see the field next season, I think it makes a lot of sense for him to try out cornerback.

I think for programs like ours, DL and OL are going to be a constant area of concern. Just how the sport is. The big uglies are tough to find.

We really need at least 3 more defensive lineman this class. Preferably to DE’s and a solid DT. Looks like we’ve lost Darius Robinson, hope we can figure something out.
Yes, it's a critical need on the recruiting front or we could revert back to babers year 1 defensively. Find transfers, graduate transfers, overseas sumo wrestlers, anything that will plug a hole. I really don't want to be viewed as a B12 team - a team that scores 70 but also gives up 70. There are worse things of course considering where we've been for 17 years... but just having mediocre-to-average defense combined with this offense gives us a shot at the playoff with a little luck.

Some notes:
-We are noticeably deep at WR and thin at the Safety position. Wouldn't be surprised to see a WR try out the Safety position.
-Would think we add 1 more QB in this class
-Some people I envision transferring: Devin Butler, Markenzy Pierre, Rex Culpepper (maybe for his 5th year)
-The 2018 Senior class was really special. I look at the 2019 Senior class and no names really pop out at me. 2018 seniors will be missed.

Just wow at that depth.

QB, LB and OLine are our only question marks heading into next season IMO.

And all are light years ahead of where they have been.

This is a real team.

When did we lose Darius Robinson? I haven't heard or seen anything.

Love this breakdown, thanks for putting it together!

Although I think the 2019 Sr class isn't as strong as 2018, I see a few key guys I think we'll really miss - Alton Robinson & Kendall Coleman on the d-line. Hof in the punting game, but it seems like lately we're striking gold with kickers & punters, so perhaps he's replaced by another guy with a big leg..

Fredrick is another guy we'll miss, although it's nice we have Iffy & Trill. I don't recall hearing Fredrick's name much during the BC game, and that's a good thing. If cb's are making a bunch of tackles or on the tv screen a lot, it's generally because they're getting picked apart. He's pretty close to a shutdown corner at this stage.

While OL is a question mark due to inexperience... the is still no doubt that there are a ton of bodies there. They will figure it out and wouldn't be shocked to see one of the backups burried slide to DT.

Bnoro or other, any word on the OT Hudson, the transfer from Michigan? He visited the same weekend as the linebackers.

Need some big uglies. Other than that, we have plenty of everything that you need and a lot of it younger talent.

Would be shocked if Tyrell Richards isn’t a full time DE by spring.
I think this is the model for Cuse to get athletic D-lineman. Recruit tall rangy LB’s (Cantin, Richards) and turn them into DE and 6’6 240 lb DE ( Darius Robinson, Will Smart) and build up to DT. Edinger and the S/C team are the keys to making this work. IMO we’re not recruiting plug and play athletes on the D-line like the factory schools.

Maybe but he has linebacker speed and downhill tendencies which are perfect for lb. come on we actually get a mike that has size so we move him to end. Rrrrrrrrrrrr.

Amazing how much youth we have.

I think you’ll see the 2020 class be composed of a lot of big fellas. You have to continually re-stock that pantry and Babers recruiting methods (position group #’s) and patterns are starting to develop.
