Per this tweet it looks like team captains will be Peter Dearth (junior) Brad McKinney, Marcus Cunningham, Austin Fusco and Tyson Bomberry. McKinney, Fusco and Bomberry were captains last year as well. I feel like this account jumped the gun on the announcement, usually there is a press release making this announcement -

Interesting that two of these guys won’t start. Defense looks to have great leadership but I would have liked to see Trimbo, Rehfuss, or Solomon step up and be leaders on O.

SPORTS INFO DEPT.

These 2019 captain selections should be included into the current players bios as most other roster write-ups list . We are one of the last to get out our upcoming roster so info should be as inclusive and updated as any but it is not..

Some of these captains also made 2018 All ACC academic teams along with several other players which also should be included in bios as well along with the few who made ALL ACC. Other programs in their write-ups cite and tout captains, awards and achievements .
.
2nd pt, does anyone proof read what is submitted. Why is one of Curry's season highlights in his bio about him having two turnovers against Navy ??? That should be removed.

As a major d1 with a strong communications program, no reason for errors or omissions.

Also noticed that Duke, ND and other top opponents seem to do a good job promoting their current players in the off season , posting what their majors, pursuits and internships are , posting highlights of team trips and bonding activities as well as some videos , they let their fans know who their captains are, the recognitions on the field and in the classroom as well as any meritorious off field activities .

Sports Info can play their part in the recruitment, retention and marketing of our program by following best practices and seeing that our visibility and info is as good as any..
