2022 football schedule

Syracuse should ask UConn to move our game from September 10th to September 3rd.

Then UConn could play Central Connecticut on September 10th.
C. Connecticut is off September 10th.

It would help our schedule a lot.

Instead of opening at home with conference game in a must win season.

We gave UConn an equal 2 for 2 series THEY SHOULD ACCOMODATE US. If they want to do business again. Cmon Wildhack get something done so we don’t open with Louisville. Stuff like this isn’t hard at all.
UConn opens in week 0 anyway. They should be fine with flipping Syracuse and Central Connecticut to maintain a good relationship. No money will be lost.

I totally agree from our perspective. JW should try. But from UConn's they are better off keeping it as is. 1st home game of a new HC will get a decent crowd. 2nd game after a win even better. Losing to SU by a lot will kill the CCSU crowd. They have a chance to beat us. We have a new O and no tape.

We'd have to go to UConn for Labor Day weekend and away on the 10th too, unless we could schedule a Thursday night game.

I am okay with playing a conference road game week 2.
The options would be Pitt, BC, Clemson, Wake.

Or take a bye week 2 as we suck coming off byes. Get it out of the way. Then play Purdue week 3.

If history means anything, the ACC will announce dates for all conference games in late January.

Time and TV networks for some games will be announced in late May.

And we won't know the starting time or network for a bunch of games until a week or two before they are played.

I wonder how much pull the ACC has. Right now, the puzzle pieces fit with Louisville coming here 9/3. I'm sure Louisville doesn't really want to start the season with trips to Syracuse and UCF. But they would have to move things around too.

I wish Wagner could get moved, but they open with Fordham, and Fordham's dates are all set. Or just tell Wagner we'll play them another year and we pick another FCS. Someone has to have an open 9/3. Wagner is playing at Rutgers too, it's not like they'd lose their only FBS opportunity.

Have to think the schedules are most likely completed or mostly completed depending on some bye weeks and final scheduling agreements if there was a late cancel.

Usually come out in January iirc.
