2022 NYS Section III Thread...

WG won their opener tonight. 14-8 vs Ballston Spa. Very sloppy offensively which is expected this early. Should have put up 20 but the BS goalie was on fire.

West Genny gets a new coaches, CBA gets a new coaches, CNS gets a new coaches. Since section 3 is seeing a trend of hiring new head coaches, can Liverpool be the next to do the same please? Mike Felice has overstayed his welcome and has gotta go, like 8 years ago.

Liverpool always has great athletes/excellent youth programs in every sport--so there is no excuse why the L'pool boys lax program has been as bad as it has been for about 10 years or so.

Niskayuna beat F-M 8-7 @ Union College.

I was looking at some Section 2 schedules and there are a few more Section 2/Central NY games. Most interestingly, Shenendehowa (who beat Nisky) plays @ Lafayette. Shen is by far the largest school by enrollment in Section 2, and one of the largest in all of NY. To emphasize the point, Shen's senior class alone is more than twice is large as the entire enrollment of the Lafayette district.

Liverpool with the strong start blowing out Westhill and Auburn. I haven't been out to see them play this season yet but I was impressed with Clouthier at attack last year and I believe he was only a sophmore.

Lafayette is a little down this year to. I'd expect Shen to roll them.

Baldwinsville's 14-3 win over Ballston Spa wasn't even that close. BVille mostly had the ball, was slow and methodical, didn't push and didn't take a lot of shots. BSpa's best player was out serving a suspension though.

Shen beat Lakeland-Panas (Westchester) Saturday 10-4. Losing 3-2 at the half. They beat BSpa last night and besides Lafayette, they play Long Island's Mamaroneck on 4/16.

Nisky is back in Class B this year to. LaSalle moved up to B and Burnt Hills dropped down to C.

Nisky plays Victor at some point this season to.

Burnt Hills knocked of Duxbury HS (MASS) 8-4. Duxbury is viewed as being a really good team year in year out. That was considered a really big win for BHBL.

Mamaroneck is Section 1 believe. Right outside of White Plains/New Rochelle. I can't imagine Burnt Hills in class c. They are going to have a shot at winning State's at that classification.

I'm neighbors with a Liverpool football guy, and he says the next level coming up for Liverpool is REALLY good.

I'm gonna be honest, not that Impressed with Kempney. Watched some of his games from last year and the competition up north is so bad that him only having 1-2 5 goals games is concerning. I think he could develop into something good but I just don't think his 5 star rating is accurate.
