Long Island, MD, and New England Prep account for everyone except a guy from florida (who is at a boarding school). Sad state of affairs in my opinion, but you can see why we started marking our territory in the MD and LI hotbeds. Support local lax when you can folks!

Shut down Petro and Sunderland. Both were named. A lot of politics in selections.

Not saying this first round of players didn’t earn it. Only one is suspect in my opinion.

According to their Recruiting Database, IL lists 25 players as Five Star recruits. I'm not sure how much this gets updated, but have to image a bulk of these players get selected. Syracuse has four of them (Spallina, Dwan, Thomson and Kempney), which is tied for the most with Virginia. There are about 20 open spots (maybe one more since I beleive James Mattan, an attackman headed to UNC is out for the year with an injury). Last year the position breakdown was as follows -

Attack - 12
Midfield - 13
F/O - 3
Defense - 14
Goalie - 4

The '22 class Five Stars are broken down as follows -

Attack - 7
Midfield - 6
FO - 3
Defense 6
Goalie - 4

I have to think Figuerias and Leo have the best chance to make it. But there are a lot of four star recruits so it's hard to tell. IL said they would release a Power 100 a while back which would take away a lot of the guess work, but they haven't done so. They didn't release the class of '21 Power 100 until the start of fall ball last year.

Pretty good sign to get 4 guys in the second wave. Think there is a chance for 1-2 more be it Kempney or Dwan or maybe Rhoa who has had a real nice year. Nice to go from 0 the last two years to 5 by the second wave.

That is not true. I think you may be confusing it with US Lacrosse All-Americans.

UA All-America Game is chosen by the IL staff (mainly Ty Xanders) with input from college coaches and other media members.
