So a Sat-Monday turnaround with Vermont on 2/3. Interesting as usually when this is done early season its a Fri-Sun schedule (Duke special).

I believe Gait liked to do this with the Women's Team. In 2019 They played BC on a Saturday then Coastal Carolina on the following Monday. In 2018 Notre Dame on a Saturday, Northwestern on Monday (both losses fwiw). 2020 was a strange year but he scheduled Canisius on Friday and Stony Brook on Monday. I kind of thought this might be specific to the women's game since they seem to play more games, but perhaps not.

Colgate might be kind of frisky? They hung 15 on UVA in their scrimmage a few weeks ago. There are a ton of qualifiers, the main one being it's fall ball, and the Cavs were without Shellenberger and Cormier and maybe Nunes in net, but that's still a lot of goals to put up on a team like UVA. Still don't really think scheduling the Raiders does much for SU's tournament prospects, but, felt worth mentioning.

Gait used to schedule two games the same day.

Noon and 8 PM.

With a Men's game sandwiched in at 4 PM.

I can only take so many Dome Dogs and nachos.

So you're saying I need to wear my pants with the elastic band to games next year.

Officially no Princeton on schedule. Shame, would have been great to see them in the Dome. Wonder what happened. Crazy road gauntlet of Maryland, UNC, Duke, Rutgers.

It looks like Princeton replaced Syracuse with Lehigh. Maybe they felt Syracuse was a little too tough for the middle of the Ivy League schedule.

Playing at UNC on Friday, Mar 1 and then at Duke on Sunday, Mar 3 looks rather tough. I wonder if UNC and Duke are inviting some other team to the area, so they will also have games both days.

I don't have a team in mind. When you schedule a team you typically do it for a home and home (especially the higher profile teams). So I think we were all expecting Princeton to come up to the Dome this year. Perhaps they will do it next year.

I liked it when we did the Saturday - Monday turnaround at the end of May. I wish we would go back to doing that.

Yup unclear what happened but with that schedule not surprised they backed out. At some point you got to give yourself a breather. I doubt Princeton is trying to get out of the return game all together but likely asked to push it out a year or 2.

Maybe Jake Stevens & Sam English let it be known that they'd rather not play against Princeton. ???

Interesting schedule, Albany choose to play at UVA in March vs at Cuse in February. Seems like a pretty good mix of schools with Mich, OSU, Hop and Maryland as the heavy hitting OOC teams. Rough final 5 games, at Harvard, home to UNC, at Duke, at Cuse home to ND.

Loading up on the Big 10. Only missing Rutgers. Interesting that they aren't playing any Ivy teams besides Harvard, which I don't think will be one of the top teams in that league. I think power from the ACC, to the Big 10 to the Ivy League seems to fluctuate a bit from year to year. I think you are better off scheduling 2 to three from each conference. I wish SU would have an extra Ivy team this year.

It's nice to see UVa post what their general schedule looks like, and not wait till everything is finalized.

All 4 ACC games are at the end of the season. UMd and JHU appear to be the strength of the ooc schedue. Overall, I think the ooc schedule looks a tad weak. Tiffany might want to pick up a top Ivy League school in future seasons.

UVa should probably be 9-1 going into the ACC part of the schedule with the loss coming from either UMd or JHU.

A poster on Fanlax saying Syracuse AT Hobart on Saturday, March 23rd. First trip to Geneva since 2019. That makes 13 games (unconfirmed). If we think SU is aiming for a 14 game schedule, that leaves just one opening. Any rumblings of potential matchups? Utah was the last we heard but that was a while ago.

This is the return game with Harvard. It's at the end of March (instead of early in the season) which probably means it's their and our "off weekend" from conference play due to each conference's having an odd number of teams. Penn and Princeton are playing at Duke and UNC this year. Cornell is playing you folks and ND (during the "off weekend" for both teams in April). I guess the Ivy dance cards are full.

As for some TV guesses, Towson will be and Harvard probably will be ESPN+ and Maryland will be BTN. @ Richmond could be on ESPNU.

not playing psu either. the schedule change from last year other than dates is drexel, albany and romo in exchange for the extra games played vs duke and nd as well as lafayette in 2023. tho if they finish in the top 4, they will have at least one more acc game.

now that we're back to normal acc scheduling, i was really hoping they would've gone back to the traditional march 'cuse game. that had a lot of history as an early season hype game. alas.

i've been critical of a creampuff schedule for uva at times before and after covid, but disagree on '24. they will be playing 4 of the top 5 rpi from last year, and only that bc they can't play themselves. another top 10-ish in mich, top 20 in unc, cuse and richmond, and then if an nc$$ team, they'll be in the acc tourney.

you want 8-9 tough games. and then their remainder may stay out of the bottom 25, something also to generally avoid. you've also got tosu and harvard who could surprise just as any of the above could slip. they had a top 3? or so schedule last year, this is as good as you can do pre-season overall.

Talk about a light OOC Schedule- Rutty: Lehigh, Stony Brook, Army, Loyola, Hofstra, Detroit Mercy, Princeton, UMass, OSU, Hopkins, Michigan, Maryland, and PSU.

Army and Princeton and I guess Loyola the only real names on there.

Somewhat surprising as their was a lot of rumbling that SU was pushing back on playing at Hobart in the near future. That may have changed with the ACC going back to a regular schedule and tourney. Game is on a Saturday which is nice but March 23rd can be a total crapshoot weather wise.
