This team could have Dion Waiters, MCW, Ennis and Trevor Cooney on this team. But, if you could only have two, which two would you take? Mine are the two we got. Ennis and Trevor.

I'd have to agree. Ennis is too good to get rid of and Cooney is too good of a shooter/too efficient of a scorer to pick someone else.

Love Ennis and Cooney, but would choose Dion and MCW in a heartbeat. Two on two Dion and MCW win 8 out of 10 over Ennis/Cooney.

But it's not a 2 on 2 game. It's 5 on 5.

Understand, but Dion/MCW can more than get the other 3 involved + can score when they need to one on one and better for the zone (height top of the zone).

I would have loved to see Dion and mcw play together, just to see what would happen. It would have been spectacularly good or tragically bad.

But this current team needs Cooney's range more than anything,

Not sure he gets as many open looks partnered with mcw, but it wouldn't be a bad choice.

I'd go with the current guards.

Amazing when you think about it. Can't go wrong with any PG/SG pair, but I think I'd go Ennis & Waiters. Love what Trevor has done but Waiters was an exceptional talent, imagine how good he'd be as a senior.

We'd see 40 minutes of zone.

I agree with choosing Dion and MCW. No disrespect to Cooney and Ennis but I think you have to take the two lottery picks whom would be in their senior and junior years.

Dion and MCW would make our zone almost unbeatable. Our offensive efficiency wouldn't be as high but last year we had the best zone in school history for a reason. Dion and MCW would got twice as many steals per game and almost all of them would end in a dunk!

The kind of zone where everyone has one foot in the paint.

Going with MCW and Cooney. I think having a shooter like Cooney with MCW would have made MCW a much better pg than he was even last year. Southerland was good from the outside, but you give MCW Cooney, Grant, and Fair he doesn't force nearly as much as he did last year which cut his turnovers down and his assists up. Not to mention the defense as well. I respect everything Triche did for us while he was here but I honestly don't think he deserved the playing time he did until his senior year.

:confused:play all four guards and pretend we are Villanova

That would actually be worth a try. MCW and Waiters could probably give you enough rebounding to get away with it against smaller teams for a stretch. Maybe adjust the zone a little bit and play more of a 1-3-1 with Christmas in the back. That would be a great offensive lineup that would be really fun to watch.

Ennis and Cooney have the potential to be THE best back court in the country...this year! And to think this could possibly be our starting back court for two years after this is just insanely awesome.

But how could you not love to see what a guy averaging 15 in the NBA and another averaging 17 in the NBA do as our starting guards. My guess is those two would absolutely dominate. A senior Dion and a junior MCW would be unfair, and not possible in today's college game. Those type of scenario's never come to fruition unfortunately.

Pearl Washington and the local CYO stiff. Oh wait... ;)

Triche not dion

There is no chance that I'd choose MCW over Ennis. MCW's physical capabilities made him an incredible defender, and his athleticism has translated well to the pro game. But Ennis is a much better lead guard--even than MCW.

I might go with Ennis and Dion, but I love Cooney's fit on our current team.

Same general question, different perspective:
I keep thinking that if we had this year's Cooney on last year's team, we'd be chasing back to back titles right now
