60 years ago today, Ernie Davis awarded Heisman Trophy

How many people remember this historic trailblazing event. I'm glad the movie and statue were made to memorialize this very important person. (Thanks OE).

Looking at the voting breakdown it was no slam dunk but it's interesting that the South wasn't his weakest area. Fortunately the East carried him to victory.
