A few observations

• At least this wasn't announced on ESPN at 11:30 Thursday morning. For the Notre Dame suspension, did we even have 24 hours notice?
• This team can still advance beyond the sweet 16 if we get some upsets, good luck, favorable officiating or some combination of those 3. I think the majority here were privately or publicly declaring Final 4 or bust. An elite 8 appearance is now probably the absolute highest ceiling, but keep in mind that would only be the 3rd time since 1990, so it would still be a historical achievement for this program in that context. And it would be ironic since the entire world is writing this team off. But it's possible.
• No Melo = more Keita = 5 additional turnovers or wasted possessions... unless he is used exclusively in the press - which we'll only see when we're down 20 to Kansas State.

I'd take seeing the press down double digits in the first half against a Big 12 team - we have seen that before in the second round, and the last time worked out pretty well.

Also, the grading curve must be huge for BC as there was not remotely anything positive there to applaud him for.
