You are what you eat. The better the teams you play play against other teams, the better you look. if you beat them, your win looks great. if they tank after you beat them, your win seems less impressive. if you lose, it doesn't look so bad if they beat everybody else, too. if they beat you and then start losing, you look bad. it's not rocketship science.

Roberto Duran used to insult every opponent after each of his fights. He went 15 rounds one time and said that his opponent "fought like a girl". Hey, Roberto, you just went 15 rounds with a girl!
