Wow good to be us, better to be FSU! Wow.
Am I the only one who thought Mason was going to run that lateral back?
A league is as strong as its strongest team.
FSU won. Clemson won. And the real measuring stick, the Orange beat the pride of the B1G Minn.A league is as strong as its strongest team ... really? You actually buy that?
The struggle that FSU just had when compared to the romps they enjoyed on the ACC sort of puts the strength of the ACC in perspective.
Eh, FSU waxed Clemson and Clemson beat Ohio State.A league is as strong as its strongest team ... really? You actually buy that?

no conference has been able to beat the SEC in 7? years - now the ACC has. Glad to be a part of the conference. Time to bring the title home on the basketball side nowGreat finish. As much as I respect and like the Auburn folks who were so hospitable to us when we played them a few years ago, the ACC needed this championship much worse than the SEC did. Florida State had to win this game so the ACC could avoid all the blowback that would have occurred about the SEC being the best BCS conference by far - and the ACC the worst. Kills that talk right in the bud.
Clemson is a good team that can beat just about anyone. That was my point.I was responding to the curious claim that a Conference is as strong as its best team.
Clemson is a good team that FSU had little trouble with.

exactly, look at ACC hoops for the past few yearsLook at how much Miami being in the Big East legitimized the football league in its early days. There's a lot of truth in that statement. You get judged by the top of your conference, not the middle or the bottom.

Sure, but when Miami was very good there were some other BE teams that were pretty good.Look at how much Miami being in the Big East legitimized the football league in its early days. So what? Perception IS reality as perception drives recruiting which in turn becomes reality. The ACC just won the NC and the Orange bowl... that doesn't mean it overtakes the SEC in terms of perception... but it gets the ACC on a playing field where it can be a legit option for the absolute best recruits.Sure, but when Miami was very good there were some other BE teams that were pretty good.
I'm afraid the ACC has one very good team. Clemson that is good and then ...
Sportswriters aren't quite that dumb.
