UPDATE SATURDAY NIGHT: The Atlantic Coast Conference announced it will hold a media teleconference Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m.
The call will obviously make it official the news, first broken by CBSSports.com Saturday morning, that Pittsburgh and Syracuse had submitted letters of applications to join the ACC and the ACC presidents will officially invite the two Big East schools on Sunday.
It's unknown if the schools could join the ACC next season.

How about "Poor Jerami Grant, he just picked SU over Maryland so he could play in the Big East."

We'll see if he switches his commitment to Rutgers to stay in the BE.

So it's official. Does the 27 months notice provision mean we have 3 more seasons of Big East Basketball and this is a 2014-15 season move? I suppose the goal would be to negotiate our way out sooner than that. Another possibility is that the conference splits apart and grants us an earlier release so that other members, including the basketball onlies, are able to secure their conference futures as well.
