USM is a solid squad. They have some questionable losses though (UAB, Houston, UTEP, Denver), and a few solid wins (Memphis, USF, Colorado st, New Mex st twice). They shoot FT's really well (74%) and get there a solid 23 times per game. They don't shoot 3's all that well, nor that often (both middle of the NCAA pack), but have 4-5 guys that are willing shooters. They also don't turn it over much, only 11 times per game, roughly on par with SU, and also rebound pretty well (37 per). Unfortunately, they really hit the offensive glass hard. They are top 25 nationally with just under 14 OREB's per game.

Overall, they aren't a good shooting team from the field, at only 41.6%, which helps explain very good OReb #'s. They go roughly 8-9 deep with a bunch of upperclassmen and do foul a lot. They're also pretty big and athletic, and I remember seeing a few of their highlight reel plays throughout the season on SC.
